It was a very cold day in San Jose and I was freezing when the six of us took off. On the first climb I decided I couldn’t keep up with the front three led by David who has crushed me many times before. Deb caught up with me on Shannon and we rode together until Redwood Gulch when I decided to put in some work. I then rode the remaining 70 miles on my own.
The temperature finally became tolerable at about mile 50 heading up the last climb. This was my 32nd big (90+ miles) ride of 2007. I might have a couple more in me before the New Year. .
